You can delete your abacova account at any time. This page explains how, what is deleted, and what is kept.

How to delete your account

From the web app

1. Sign in at app.abacova.com.
2. Open Profile from the user menu.
3. Scroll to Delete account.
4. Type your email address to confirm, then press Delete account.

From the mobile app (iOS and Android)

1. Open abacova and sign in.
2. Go to the More tab.
3. Tap Delete account.
4. Type your email address to confirm, then tap Delete account.

Deletion is immediate and irreversible. There is no grace period and no way to recover the data — once you confirm, it is gone.

What is deleted

• Your user, your profile and your preferences.
• Your personal organization and all of its financial data: accounts, transactions, budgets, IOUs, assets, imports, reports, reconciliations and tags.
• Any other organization where you are the only member, along with all its data.
• Your notifications, notification preferences and device tokens (push notifications stop).
• Your sign-in identity, which frees your email address so you can register again in the future if you want to.

What is kept, and why

• Shared organizations. If you belong to an organization with other members, that organization and its data are not deleted — they are not solely yours. Your membership is removed, and records you created (for example, an account you owned) pass to the organization's owner.
• Activity log. Audit entries in organizations that still exist are kept, but anonymized — they are no longer linked to your user.
• Billing. If you had a paid subscription, we cancel it as part of the deletion. Invoices already issued are retained by our payment provider (Stripe) for as long as tax law requires. We delete our own copy.

If you are the only owner of a shared organization

For safety, we cannot delete your account while you are the only owner of an organization that still has other members — they would be left with nobody able to administer it. Before deleting your account, transfer ownership to someone else or remove the remaining members. The app will tell you which organizations are in the way.

If you can no longer sign in

Email us at support@abacova.com from your account's email address and we will delete the account for you.
